Holiday Gift Idea: Stainless Steel Straws
These stainless steel straws are advertised as adding “a little zing to any drink” and “perfect for dinner party cocktails” - and they may well do and be just that, IF you’re up for zing and dinner parties this holiday season. But a loved one who is wired shut or otherwise on the blender diet through the holidays can use these straws just because they are shiny and merry and bright…and reusable and sturdy. I’ll admit to a lot of green guilt over the number of plastic straws I went through while wired, even having washed them out for reuse often as I could stand it. If planet-saving isn’t reason enough for you, just remember that principle of physics from high school (that you’ve probably since forgotten) where the more rigid something is the better the suction…er, I mean…ok, just trust me on this one. Sturdy straws = happier wired jaw patient.
Just don’t use them with hot liquids! (Surely you at least remember learning about heat conductivity.)
